Project: Armed Forces Memorial Walkway Lighting at the National Memorial Arboretum
Project Value: £60,000.00
Principal Contractor: Szerelmey Ltd – Restoration & stonework since 1855.
Description: Installation of 36 LED Erco in Ground Grazing Light Wall Washer luminaires & 18 LED Bega Bollards in Graphite.
These superb grazing light wall washer lights accentuate the surface texture of the Memorial facades giving a three dimensional light effect.
The bollards installed to the main walkway and steps effectively illuminate the walkway with a flat beam; the light distribution allows the bollards to be spaced further apart than usual.
The names of 16,000+ service personnel are carved into the stunning 43 meter diameter stone structure on top of an earth mound similar to ancient burial grounds. The Armed Forces Memorial project originally cost around £6 million pounds to build and as part of ongoing improvements lighting has now been added by Andrews Electrical Ltd.
We are proud to have been a small part of this project that honours are fallen personnel so impressively.
